Sandy Hook Memorial–Eleven Authors Here at The Yellow Book Road!

Give a Book in Honor of Sandy Hook

Eleven authors/illustrators (including Marla Frazee!) will be at The Yellow Book Road to sign your books. Those books donated will go to the San Diego Children’s Center, a K-12 school for children with mental disabilities.Sandy Hook Elementary School requested that all donations go locally. You may also get books signed for yourselves. The authors/illustrators are:

Hi all!
On Tuesday, October 16th, Center ARTES at CSUSM will be hosting a puppetry workshop for teachers and student teachers. The location is the Arts building room 342. You are invited to attend and there is no cost! Lynne Jennings of the Puppetry Guild will be doing a hands-on workshop…and she is wonderful. The location is Cal State San Marcos, in the Arts building on campus, and you can park in the parking structure. Buy a special event permit at the kiosk in the structure…it should cost $5.00. Please RSVP to merryl: goldberg@csusm.edu as we’ll need a count for materials and hand-outs! I hope you can attend – open to all teachers!

REMINDER: DREAM year-end survey

Hi DREAM teachers -

Thank you to everyone who has taken the year-end survey! If you have not, please complete the year-end survey by Friday, May 25. This survey is for teachers who attended the 2011 summer institute. It will take about 10 minutes and can be found here. You will receive a $25 stipend for taking this survey. Once the survey is completed, SDCOE/NCPDF will be notified and you will receive your stipend check in June.

I appreciate how busy this time of year is. Please know that the information from this survey is very important to the project. DREAM needs every teacher to respond. Your frank feedback matters to us!
